Caution when performing the update
  • No saved user data is lost when this update is carried out correctly, but to safeguard against unexpected accidents, we recommend saving user data to VE-500 Editor before applying the update.
  • Never apply this update data to any product other than the VE-500. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
  • Be sure to power the unit using the AC adaptor. Executing the update while running on only battery power may cause the update to fail and result in incorrect operation if the batteries go dead before the update finishes.
  • Never power-off your VE-500 while the update is in progress!
If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the VE-500 won’t be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs.
