You can custom-name the sounds (memories) in the VE-5 as desired. Here's how.

1. Turn the SOUND knob to choose a sound (memory) to edit.

2. Press MENU.

3. Turn the SOUND knob to select "NAME."

4. Press the cursor right (>) button once.

5. Use the cursor left/right buttons to choose the character position and turn the SOUND knob to choose the desired character.

6. When you're finished, press EXIT. The new name is stored in the sound automatically.
